
Relax and Melt
Who: All ages
Why: An effective way to relieve stress and anxiety, and sometimes even physical discomfort, is to tighten one muscle group at a time, followed by a relaxation phase with the release of that tension.
This technique is a great way to help your students find both mental and physical calm. Practice Relax and Melt using this worksheet at the end of a yoga lesson, or even on its own to help everyone regulate.
Tip: If lying down isn’t feasible or comfortable for your students, you can achieve the same results by having them sit comfortably with their two feet on the floor.
