SEL at Home

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

This activity encourages self awareness, self acceptance and invites students to make a positive decision to influence their state. Adults who help by practicing with students models empathy and relationship building.

Tip:Use these exercises when your student needs to make a positive choice to change behavior, is having a tantrum or has high energy, or is feeling stressed and worried.
