Gratitude Journal

Gratitude Journal

Who: All Ages

Gratitude JournalWhy: This activity develops the space to be thankful and practice showing appreciation, kindness and empathy to one’s community. This SEL practice empowers participants to acknowledge and express emotions and to build an awareness of how actions influence people and the community in which they live and learn.

The practice of gratitude helps amplify positive emotions and can increase physical and emotional health by reducing stress and increasing well-being.

Tip: Everywhere, people are exposed to the negative things happening in our world. Teach your family how to “look for the good” and make gratitude journals a daily practice. Pair with POP Checks for a centering activity before journaling.
