IAA #4107: Collective Well-Being in Schools
You take care of everyone. Who takes care of you?
Join us for a thought-provoking Administrator Academy where we will explore how to use the Collective Well-Being Framework and toolkit to make well-being an integrated part of school operations. This fun and engaging professional learning experience will provide you with actionable goals to address your needs and those of your school community.
Who:
Administrators, Principals, APs, District Leaders + Any Caring Adult Who Works in Schools and Needs to Reset and Renew. If connectedness and well-being are in your CIWP, that includes YOU too!
What:
A transformative workshop set in a relaxing nature setting, designed to be the opposite of “sit-and-git” professional development. This interactive, hands-on experience prioritizes adult and student SEL skill building, recognizing that staff well-being is the foundation of a thriving school.
We will dive deep into trauma-informed practices and actionable ways to combat educator burnout, providing you with practical strategies you can implement the moment you return to campus. Beyond just theory, the session focuses on a layered PD approach to ensure a positive school climate takes root and lasts.
Where:
Nestled about 75 miles from Chicago at Goldberry Woods in Union Pier, Michigan – Union Pier offers peaceful access to Lake Michigan’s “singing sands” through its charming road-end beaches, like Townline and Berrien Street. Nearby, the Galien River County Park features an accessible canopy walkway and boardwalk for exploring the wetlands, while Warren Dunes State Park provides dramatic sand formations and miles of hiking trails. The area is a perfect hub for nature lovers, combining lakeside relaxation with well-maintained paths through rare old-growth forests and prairies.
