Women: We Are Your Workforce
As June Jordan reminded us, “We are the ones we have been waiting for.”
To honor Women’s History Month, we have to move beyond just celebrating women to breaking the silence about women’s health.
Women make up 76% of the education workforce. Yet, in an industry overwhelmingly run by our labor, our bodies, women’s fundamental health needs can be invisible. We are shifting this conversation from shame to collective liberation, and we are collectively creating workplace supports for women.
Further, According to a recent Center for American Progress report, 45% of mothers are now the primary breadwinners for their families, with that being true for 69% of Black mothers. And what about the toll it takes on our bodies? The exhaustion we feel is not a personal failure; it is the result of a systemic design. So, our response must be strategic and collective.
Register now for convenings that directly address these critical and often unspoken realities!
